Hyderabad: The EC will publish the poll ballots on November 23 after scrutiny of the nominations filed by the candidates for the December 7 Assembly polls, CEO Rajat Kumar today said.
Talking to press persons along with Joint CEO Amrapali at Secretariat here, he said that they have made arrangements for transparent polling in a hassle free manner by conducting awareness on using EVMs and VVPATS, webcasting, facilities, ramp, whee-chair and deployment of adequate security. As many as 3583 candidates filed their nominations and scrutiny will be done till Nov 21 and details will be disclosed on Nov 23 followed by scrutiny on 22 he said.
Booth level officials and other staff deployed will distribute voter slips at the doorsteps of the voters. The EC directed the Me-Seva, or e-seva to distribute 5 lakh voter identity cards and on payment of Rs 25 people can get them. Rajat Kumar said that the EC will take serious action against any political parties for poll code violation by addressing caste or community based meetings he warned. He said that the EC is checking the veracity of the replies by Harish Rao, Revanth Reddy, V Prathap Reddy and others about the complaints of foul comments against the poll code.
TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy gave reply on giving speech at YMCA which is a global organization and V Hanumanth Rao complained on former Bahadurpura MLA Kausar Mohiuddin and others and EC is looking into the same. Poll officials, polling agents and staff will be alert and there is no chance for any malpractice or poll code violation in the polling stations equipped with web casting and internet.
On poll related complaints, the EC was looking into the issues and will take action if proved guilty of violating the code. “We have seized Rs 90.72 crore cash and kind and resolved 3,61,109 publicity related issues of using material, hoardings, posters and others”, the CEO added.
