State Election Commissioner Ramakanth Reddy today ordered an inquiry into the incident of breaking of an Electronic Voting Machine at Macherla in Guntur district.
The incident took place while polling was going on. The police have taken one Lakshma Reddy into custody for breaking the EVM by hitting it against a table in the polling booth. Ramakanth Reddy asked the officials concerned to submit a report immediately. (NSS)
