Nagpur, September 10: Chief Election Commissioner today said notices to two top administrative officials of Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh have been issued for being partial during the assembly by-election.
“Both the officials, the Collector K C Jain and SP Rajendra Prasad, have been found of being partial in their working today when polling took place there”, Chawala flanked by Election Commissioners Dr S Y Qureshi and V S Sampath, told reporters, here.
The EC team was on a visit to city to review the poll preparedness of election machinery of Nagpur and Amravati divisions in Vidarbha and Aurangabad of Marathwada division ahead of assembly polls in Maharashtra.
Chawala said both the officers allowed the ministers and other functionaries to remain in the constituency even after the 48 hours dead line which debars them from physically remaining present in the Constituency.
The Commission will look into the issue further when we go back to Delhi, he added.
He said due to heavy rains the 46 polling parties in Tendulkheda assembly constituency could not reach where 32 per cent polling was recorded. The ECI will consider the issue of repoll in that particular area, he said.
