Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan on Sunday reportedly accused the Election Commission (EC) of helping Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections.
“If a person calls himself as the prime minister of the country even before results are declared, then it is a violation of the Constitution,” he said.
Khan further said reportedly that the poll panel is working at the behest of the BJP and declared the General Elections 2014 as unconstitutional.
The EC had earlier banned Khan and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s aide Amit Shah from holding public meetings, processions or road shows in Uttar Pradesh after he made ‘highly inflammatory speeches.
