The Election Commission of India today accorded permission to the TRS party to hold its 15th plenary and public meeting in Khammam on April 27.
In a communiqué here on Friday, the ECI said the ruling party had appealed to it for holding the plenary in the wake of code of conduct for Palair bye-election being effective. After careful consideration, the ECI has given permission to the ruling party with some riders. All expenses should be borne by the ruling party, no official should be used or involved for the arrangements, the EC said. It also stated that neither the Chief Minister nor ministers can make an official visit to the plenary site. (NSS)
