For EBCs, 1380 in medicine and 12840 seats in Engineering are reserved

(Siasat News) Under B.C. (E) Category 13,164 minority students had appeared for EAMCET engineering stream, out of which 8295 candidates were found to be eligible to seek admissions. There are 3,21,000 seats of engineering available in 667 engineering colleges of the state. If 4% reservation is calculated, the total number of seats works out to 12,840. In this way,under this reserved category for minorities nearly 4000 seats will go vacant.

In the same manner there are 1380 seats available under 4% reserved category for Minorities in medical and dental streams. In B.C. (E) category, 4825 students have qualified in EAMCET out of which 186, 32 and 1162 students will get admission in medical, dental and pharmacy colleges respectively

In engineering stream 14,999 students have qualified, the majority of them consist of boys.

In medicine, 8036 Muslim candidates have qualified, majority of them are girls.
