Finance Minister Eatala Rajender appeared before a Railway Court at Qazipet in Warangal district on Thursday in connection with a case registered against him during ‘Rail Roko’ agitation as part of Telangana statehood agitation.
Speaking to media persons later, Eatala urged the Central Government to withdraw all the cases registered during the statehood movement.
Reacting to the opposition parties’ reaction on the Warangal by-election results, he said people have given a fitting reply to the opposition parties through their votes. He advised the opposition parties to stop criticising the TRS Government in view of their humiliating defeat. He said that the opposition parties should restrain from leveling baseless allegations against the TRS Government. He said that the Warangal by-election was a referendum on the performance of TRS Government and the people, with their votes have endorsed that it was working satisfactorily. He also demanded that the Central Government introduce SC Categorisation Bill in the Parliament. (INN)
