New Delhi: With the Christian community across the nation and the world preparing to celebrate the joyous occasion of Easter tomorrow, President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday conveyed his greetings and good wishes saying that Easter is a constant reminder of Jesus Christ’s endless love for humanity.
“On the auspicious occasion of Easter, I convey my greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens, especially our Christian brothers and sisters. The sacred day of Easter is a constant reminder of Jesus Christ’s endless love for humanity,” the President said in his message.
“As we celebrate Christ’s resurrection, may his teachings inspire each one of us to follow his ideals of love, truth, sacrifice and forgiveness,” he added.
Asserting that hatred and violence must find no place in one’s thoughts, the President stated that may the humanism which Jesus Christ stood for always guide paths.
Easter mass is observed all the over the world with Christians attending the midnight service and spending Sunday as a day of revelry, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after he was crucified. (ANI)
