A slight intensity earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale on Sunday hit Nicobar Islands but no damage was reported.
According to the Meteorological Department, the quake of occurred at 17:08 hours.
There have been no report of any damage or casualty due to the tremor so far.
