Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday said that the policy paralysis has seriously affected the country and fresh elections are the only the alternative.
Addressing a press conference here, Venkaiah Naidu said that the UPA Government was celebrating its completion of nine years in office. “What is there to celebrate?” he asked adding that there were just failures everywhere. “The governance has become a causality and is suffering policy paralysis affecting every sector, be it agriculture, industry, infrastructure, business, internal security. The Government’s policy flip-flops, indecision, mis-governance, lack of leadership are responsible for the current situation,” he said.
Venkaiah Naidu said that there were three power centers and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has no authority. The country’s image has suffered a serious dent in the eyes of the global community. “Suffering from acute leadership deficit, lack of authority, the Prime Minister has become a burden on the country. His approach seems to be see nothing, hear nothing and do nothing,” he said.
The BJP leader said that mere resignation of the Prime Minister would not suffice. The entire government should go lock, stock and barrel. The country cannot afford indecision, inaction, incompetence, he said.
Venkaiah Naidu alleged that UPA government has become synonymous with corruption. Indecision is galore in all segments of the economy. Dream projects are only at dreaming stage. UPA has offered the country a jobless growth. The UPA could create only two million jobs whereas, the NDA has created 12 million jobs, he said.
“This is the most corrupt and incompetent government after independence. It is the coalition of corrupt. Big scams and scandals, news of bribery and kickbacks appears and reappears regularly. It has become difficult even to count the same. List of scams is endless,” Venkaiah Naidu alleged.
Venkaiah Naidu also alleged The UPA has disregarded the independence of various institutions like CBI, CVC, C&AG IT, DRI etc. It has reduced the institution of Governors to partisan institutions. The Congress leaders are criticizing the C&AG as when its recommendations do not suit them. They always try to devalue the institutions. Now one of the General Secretaries of the Congress party went to the extent of criticizing even the Supreme Court of India to cover up their failures, he said. (INN)
