Hyderabad: Telangana State will conduct EAMCET 2016 on May 15 as announced earlier.
Telangana State Eamcet Convenor Prof. N V Ramana Rao said Eamcet 2016 will be conducted as usual. It may be said here that the Supreme Court in a major reprieve in its directive clarified that the States can conduct their own engineering exams. The SC also asked the candidates to take second phase of NEET if they failed to appear for the first phase.
The EAMCET Convenor has said this time two online exam centers are being arranged in Hyderabad and Warangal cities. Arrangements are being made for smooth conduct of the EAMCET, he said. Ramana Rao stated that 2,46,522 students will be taking engineering, 1,44,510 candidates appearing for medicine and 1,02,012 candidates writing agriculture examinations. While there will be 276 centers for Engineering, 190 centers for both medicine and agriculture exams are being set up, he added. (NSS)
