EAMCET for Telangana students on May 15

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Monday announced the schedule for conduct of various Common Entrance Tests for the students of Telangana.

Speaking to media persons here, the Deputy CM announced that Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) would be held on May 15. He said the EAMCET centres would be established only in government institutions. While the exam for Engineering stream would be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, the test for Agriculture and Medicine streams will be from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. A total of 144,501 candidates will appear for Engineering courses and 101,987 students will write test for admissions into Agriculture and Medicine streams.

The Deputy CM informed that the Hall Tickets could be downloaded from May 12 and ranks will be announced on May 27. The counseling for admission into various courses will begin on June 27. He said that the decision on NEET would be taken after Supreme Court hears the matter on Tuesday.

Kadiyam Srihari also announced that the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) will be held on May 22. Hall tickets for TETs can be downloaded from May 13 onwards.

Earlier, the Deputy CM held a meeting with senior officials of education department and directed them to provide basic amenities in 1350 government junior, degree and polytechnic colleges across the State. About 5 lakh students are studying in these colleges. He also asked them to ensure basic amenities in all primary, upper primary and high schools. (INN)
