Trying to avoid a controversy, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today suggested Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governments should resolve the controversial Eamcet row on their own.
Speaking to press persons here, he said that it is not better for the Centre to involve in the issue which can be resolved by the two states. Or else, they can follow the suggestion already made by Governor ESL Narasimhan, he said. The Centre is not ready to put its head in the issue as it will escalate, he maintained. “If the ministers concerned come to us, then Centre will intervene for a solution”, he said.
He appealed to the states to refrain from compounding the issues. Venkaiah asked the states to stop making it an issue which is only adding to the woes of the students. He said he will inform about the issue and the situation to Home Minister. Venkaiah also said that either the Governor or Union Home Minister will clarify any doubts on AP Reorganisation Act. (NSS)
