EAMCET may be scrapped, to be replaced by National Test

Hyderabad: The Union Government is mulling over conducting single national entrance tests for engineering, agriculture, pharmacy and other professional courses. TSCHE chairman Prof. T. Papi Reddy revealed that the National Testing Agency will be given the responsibility to monitor different national tests for different streams.

Like NEET is for medical and dental admissions across the country, another test will be held for engineering admissions. It is also proposed to conduct national tests for filling seats in other streams like agriculture, veterinary and pharmacy.

TSCHE chairman said, as and when national tests come into being, there will be no need to conduct EAMCET.
