Eamcet on May 17

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) will be conducting EAMCET 2014 on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) on May 17. The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is used for admission to the respective courses at Universities and Private Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Courses under EAMCET 2014 scores include B. Tech Agricultural Engineering, Bio Technology, Dairy Technology; B. Pharm, B. Sc, BDS and MBBS among others. The EAMCET plays a major role in simplifying admission to professional courses within Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility to appear for the EAMCET 2014 is Science stream in 10+2 (or equivalent) with 40% minimum marks for Non-Medical fields and Science with Biology in 10+2 (or equivalent) with 50% minimum marks for medical fields. The age of the candidates should be above 16 years for non medical courses and between 17 and 25 for medical courses. The examination consists of multiple choice questions under 3 sections for a total of 160 marks: Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (40 questions) and Biology (80 questions). Biology questions will be based on Botany and Zoology.
Official notification will be released on February 10, receipt of applications Online February 20, last date of receipt of applications April 4, entrance examination May 17 and results will be out on June 2. (NSS)
