EAMCET to be conducted on May 22 amidst tight security

Hyderabad, May 17: Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test-2011 (EAMCET) will be conducted on May 22 amidst tight security. All arrangements have been completed for the conduct of EAMCET across the state. Engineering test will be conducted between 10 am to 1 pm while the medicine test will be conducted between 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Candidates appearing for the test are advised to come 45 minutes in advance.

A total of 3,47,319 candidates applied for EAMCET while 2,78,801 candidates applied for engineering stream 68,518 candidates applied in medical stream.

Talking to media persons here at JNTU Hyderabad, Kukatpally Prof D N Reddy vice chancellor JNTU and Dr. N V Ramana Rao convenor EAMCET 2011 said that in the light of previous experiences tight security arrangements have been made on examination centres. Students will not be allowed to take electronic items with them. To put an end to proxy-writing of examinations, thumb impression of the candidates will be obtained and mobile communication jammers will be installed in some problematic centres.

They told the media persons that EAMCET key will be released within 15 days of exams and ranks will be announced till July 1st or 2nd.
