E-library facilities for common man under study

Hyderabad, January 20: Plans are afoot to spread the E-library facility to all particularly the common man.

Efforts are being made to materialise and popularise the E-library system and a committee comprising of Primary Education Minister Sailajanath and two MLCs Nageshwar and Mohan Reddy held discussions on the subject at the Secretariat on Thursday.

It has been finalised to appoint a committee of experts drawn from library and others in February first week. This panel is expected to study and explore the possibilities for implementation of E-library on a large-scale.

Once their report is submitted, the government will further examine feasibility and methods to implement it for the convenience of people particularly the students’ community and scholars.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is understood to have expressed readiness for providing funds to the project, informed Dr Shailajanath while detailing the media persons today.
