Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy today conducted a preparatory rally for World Telugu Conference at Medak.
She flagged off the rally as part of preparatory program for the world event being held from December 15 to 19. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said the World Telugu Conference is being organized by the State government on a grand scale. Elaborate arrangements were being made for big event to be attended by over 10,000 people, including delegates, guests, scholars, poets, literary personalities, language experts and others.
Padma Devender Reddy said the mega event will offer due recognition to Telangana poets and writers and others, who contributed to the development of the language, literature, poetry, culture and tradition. Women carrying colourful Bathukammas participated in the rally in large numbers. Some other women regaled the people with traditional dances. Teachers and students of several schools also participated in the rally. (NSS)
