Dy Speaker issues notices to TDP MLAs

Hyderabd, April 20: Andhra Assembly Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar tomorrow issued notices to two TDP legislators and sought response from another on TDP petitions seeking their disqualification for defying the party diktat and aligning with rival parties.

The Deputy Speaker sent notices to Y Balanagi Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, directing them to give their reply within one week on why they should not be disqualified from the membership of the Assembly.

The Deputy Speaker also asked Mr Nallapu Prasanna Kumar Reddy to give his explanation on the additional information given by his party to him on the disqualification issue.

Mr Balanagi Reddy and Mr Prasanna Kumar Reddy made no secret of their allegiance to YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy while Mr Srinivas Reddy switched his loyalty to the TRS.

Congress Chief Whip Mallu Batti Vikramarka and Whip K Murali have met Mr Manohar and discussed submitting a disqualification petition on five of its party rebel MLAs for supporting Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Mr Vikramarka and Mr Murali before meeting the Deputy Speaker met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office and discussed the issue.

The Congress Party is expected to submit a petition to the Deputy Speaker tomorrow.
