The Special Judge for ACB cases, Nellore convicted Thoti Shivaji, Formerly Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer Mahanandeeswara Swamy Devasthanams in Mahanandi of Kurnool District and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three years and pay a fine of Rs two lakh for offences under Sec 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of the PC Act 1988. Further, the Judge also directed the government to sell the assets comprising houses, house-plots and agricultural lands of the accused in public action and confiscate the amount of Rs 22,46,769 to the state government, a release from ACB said here today. Earlier, the ACB had registered a case against the Shivaji on March 31,2003 for acquisition of Rs 23,28,569 assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. UNI
