Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali rebuffed reports that various kidnapping gangs are active in the city. He said police has maintained complete vigilance.
Speaking to media persons Mahmood Ali said elaborate police arrangements have been made in the wake of Ramadan and police is keeping vigilance in every area with the help of CCTV cameras. He has urged public not to believe in rumours about a kidnapping gang being active in the state. He also urged people not to pay heed to the rumours about kidnapping gangs being active in the city as no such incident occurred in Hyderabad.
Mahmood Ali also appealed people to not take law and order into their hands and attack innocent people in the name of suspicion. He maintained that a large number of non-local beggars come to the city in the month of Ramadan as the city becomes charity hub in Ramadan. He asked the people to inform police if they find anyone suspicious.
