Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the forthcoming Bonalu festival in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secuderabad.
Addressing a review meeting, along with Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, at the State Secretariat here on Thursday, the Deputy CM said all festivals were being celebrated at a grand scale under the rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao in Telangana State. He said elaborate arrangements should be made to provide required facilities to the devotees.
The review meeting was attended by R&B Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, GHMC Commission Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, HMWSSB Managing Director Dana Kishore, I&PR Commissioner Navin Mittal, Hyderabad Collector Rahul Bojja, Ranga Reddy Collector Raghunand Rao and other officials.
Talasani informed that the Bonalu festival would begin on July 17. He said another meeting would be convened with the officials of Home and Excise Department officials to discuss the arrangements for Bonalu festival celebration in Mahakali Mandir in Secunderabad on 24th and 25th July. He directed the officials to constitute special teams especially in view of monsoon season. (INN)
