Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Monday said that the State Government was making elaborate arrangements to host Iftar across the Telangana State on June 26.
Speaking to media persons after reviewing arrangements for official Iftar party at Nizam College Grounds here, the Deputy CM informed that nearly 6,000 guests would participate in the Iftar at Nizam College Grounds on June 26. On the same day, Iftar will be arranged at 100 major mosques in the city and one major mosque in each Assembly constituency across Telangana State. Each mosque will also be given 1,000 Ramzan kits to be distributed among poor Muslims.
Mahmood Ali also informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been organising Taraveeh prayers at TRS Headquarters Telangana Bhavan every year since its construction. This year too, the Taraveeh prayers are going on at Telangana Bhavan.
The Deputy CM was accompanied with Additional DGP A.K. Khan, Principal Secretary (GAD) Sunil Sharma, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel, DCP Central Zone Kamalasen Reddy and other senior officials. (INN)
