Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Saturday inaugurated the first subsidized Tur Dal (pulses) counter at the Falaknuma Rythu Bazaar.
Speaking to the media, the Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the Telangana Government was making tireless efforts to provide essential commodities to the people at affordable prices. He said Tur Dal, which was being sold @ Rs 200 a kg and in the open market, will be available at the special counters @ Rs 135 per kg. All arrangements have been made to enable the general public to procure pulses at cheaper rates at Rythu Bazaars. The counters will remain open during usual working hours of Rythu Bazaar.
Mahmood Ali also thanked Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rejender for taking such measures in the interests of the general public. The Hyderabad District Civil Supplies Officer, Bandlaguda MRO and other officials from departments concerned were also present. (NSS)
