Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Saturday inaugurated the two-days 900th International Jashn-e-Viladath celebrations of Huzur Syed Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Graib Nawaz (RA), Ajmer, at Turab Bhawan Auditorium in Salarjung Museum.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that the teachings of Huzur Syed Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Graib Nawaz Ra and Sufism were relevant even today. He said that the theme of Sufism is all about people shunning materialistic pleasures even while living in such a world. He said Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti is the one who propagated Sufism in the country and is equally regarded as a guru cutting across believers of different religions in the country.
The event was also addressed by several eminent personalities including religious heads. (INN)
