Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Tuesday denied reports that appeared in a section of stating that only 100 out of 280 selected candidates would get Overseas Scholarship.
Speaking to media persons at Haj House here, the Deputy CM said no such decision was taken by the government. However, he said that he would conduct a meeting with senior officials on Wednesday on the issue. He said that the government would release additional funds, if required, to ensure that all deserving candidates get the scholarships. He also informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials to establish Minority Welfare Department offices in own buildings in all districts of Telangana. (INN)
