Deputy Chief Minister Dr. S Rajaiah made a surprise visit to the Erragadda Mental Hospital and reviewed the facilities in connection with the treatment of patients. Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the portfolio of Health Ministry inspected the various departments of the hospital along with the officials of health department.
Deputy Chief Minister was informed that encroachment has been done on the land of hospital which serves the mentally ill patients removing which the hospital can be expanded further.
Dr. Rajaiah assured that measures would be taken to remove illegal occupation on the land. He told that 78 unauthorised occupations have occupied the hospital land who have been identified.
