Dy. CM angry with Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad

Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali got angry at the letter sent by Mr. C.V. Anand, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad declaring 17 mosques situated at Shaastripuram at Rajendra Nagar Mandal as illegal. Mr. Mahmood Ali further said that by writing this letter to Commissioner of GHMC, Mr. Anand has hurt the sentiments of the Muslims for which he expressed his regrets and said that he apologizes to the Muslims.

 

He further said that he had already talked to Home Minister, Mr. Narasimha Reddy and DGP Mr. Anurag Sharma. He also spoke to CV Anand on Telephone and instructed him to withdraw his letter immediately which the commissioner readily agreed.

 

Mr. Mahmood Ali informed that Mr. KCR is on tour to China. After his return he would complain against the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad to CM. He reiterated that TRS Govt. believes in Secular ideals and no one has the right to interfere in any religious matter. All sections of Society are free to follow their religious practices. He told the Muslims that he was also pained with the letter of Commissioner of Police of Cyberabad. He appealed to the Muslims to have patience and assured that Govt. of Telangana will protect all the mosque in the State. He advised the Muslims to continue their worships in a traditional way and celebrate Eid-ul-Azha without any fear.
