Health Minister Lakshma Reddy has confirmed that Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali was tested positive for Swine flu. The Deputy CM is presently undergoing treatment and recovering well, the minister informed.
Speaking to media persons after participating in Pulse Polio programme in Durga Bhavani Nagar of Film Nagar on Sunday, the minister said that people need not panic about Swine flu. He advised the people to immediately visit a hospital after finding any symptoms of Swine flu. He said that the State Government has made elaborate arrangements for treatment of Swine flu patients. Compared to previous 2-3 years, there has been a decline in number of Swine flu cases in the State, he said.
Later, Laxma Reddy, along with ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, inaugurated a water plant near Dialysis Centre in Gandhi Hospital. The water plant has been set up Agarwal Samaj Sahitya Trust. Speaking on the occasion, the minister informed that the government would soon start 40 dialysis centres in different government hospitals in the State. (INN)
