A Dutch politician Joram van Klaveren has converted to Islam. During his time as a politician for the Freedom Party (PVV) he had denounced Islam as “a lie” and said, “the Quran is poison”.
After converting to Islam, Joram van Klaveren told that the policy of his party PVV was that whatever wrong is there was linked with Islam.
Klaveren who was famous for criticising Islam said that he is ashamed of his criticism against Islam. The man who had previously denounced Islam has become the protector of Islam. He says in an interview, ‘now my mind has changed; I was searching for it for long. It is like ghar wapsi for me. 40-year-old, Klaveren had become a Muslim on October 26, 2018, while writing what was intended to be an anti-Islam book. His wife has no objection, she says I have no objection as long as you are happy.
Klaveren told Dutch TV show NieuwLicht “During that writing I came across more and more things that made my view on Islam falter.”
Mr Van Klaveren’s book, which he initially intended to be anti-Islam, will now be called Apostate: From Christianity to Islam in the Time of Secular Terror.
