Chennai: A 24-year-old Dutch National was found dead in her hotel room in Chennai’s T Nagar area.
The deceased identified as Linda Irene was from Netherlands and checked into a convention centre on Venkatesh Street on Monday.
The deceased introduced herself as a journalist and had told would checkout on Thursday morning, but since the staff did not hear from her until noon, they used a duplicate key to check on her and found her dead in her bed, TOI reported.
The Mambalam police has now registered a case and had sent the body for postmortem to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
“We are trying to find out the exact cause of death. We have informed the officials concerned” said an investigating officer.
