Kolkata, April 05: Dunlop India will today withdraw the lay-off notice for the 900-odd workers at Sahagunj unit, according to a Ruia group release.
“The lay-off notice issued by Dunlop India Ltd will be withdrawn immediately. The company has been advised to immediately issue a new notice to that effect,” Group Chairman Pawan K Ruia was quoted in the company release issued today.
The management decided to withdraw the notice at a meeting held under the group chairman during the day.
When the lay-off notice was issued at the factory gate last weekend, the senior and middle-level executives of the Ruia Group were busy formulating business strategy and analysing last year?s performance at the annual business convention at Thailand.
Ruia on Monday told PTI from Bangkok that the tyre-maker would withdraw the lay-off notice soon and prepare a revised business plan.
