Johannesburg : South African all-rounder JP Duminy has admitted that his side have to make a strong start of the five-match ODI series against England in order to build an important mark for the rest of the series.
The 31-year-old, who believes that South Africa’s confidence in one-day cricket is good, insisted that his side would try their level best to maintain their consistency in the format, Sport24 reported.
Duminy, however, admitted that the hosts would go in with a lot of confidence against ‘tough’ England side.
Duminy said that although the ODI series against England would be harder, he added that his side had enough game plans to combat the opposition’s attack.
South Africa, who lost the four-match Test series against England 1-2 before eventually claiming a huge 280-run win a dead rubber fourth match, will play their first ODI at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Wednesday. (ANI)
