Duke of York visits Dhirubhai Ambani International School

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, today paid a visit to Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) here. The royal visitor is touring India to represent Her Majesty The Queen in the year of her Diamond Jubilee.
The Duke was welcomed by Nita M Ambani, founder and chairperson of the School, teachers and students. He interacted with children across the school, a release here said.
The Duke expressed happiness on learning that UK is a major destination for the School’s IB Diploma graduates and a large number of them have gone on to study at leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge and London School of Economics.
The Duke enjoyed a host of programmes showcased by the students including how they take learning beyond the classroom to achieve all-round development and to evolve as compassionate citizens.
ommenting on the school’s accomplishments, the Duke said “It seems to me from what I have learnt and heard today, the school is well on its way to be able to deliver world-class citizens, not just for India but for the whole globe.” UNI SG SSS RSA BD2250
