With several roads being dug up for developmental works, particularly in Muslim predominant areas, commuting on the old city roads has become a nightmare. Digging work undertaken in the city by various departments is adding to the chaos on roads.
Shopping began in old city with the beginning of the month of Ramadan but the battered roads of old city has put shoppers’ lives in danger and have made life hell for the commuters who have to wait endlessly for their vehicle to move.
The busy road stretch from Aalijah Kotla to Bibi Bazar is in miserable condition for one year. Passing by Ali Jah Kotla to Bibi Bazar during night hours is like riding in the well of death. The road has become a carpet of mud.
