Due recognition to komaram bheem: KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today decided to accord top priority to Komaram Bheem on his death anniversary on October 8.
During a high-level review meeting at Secretariat here, the Chief Minister said the Jode Ghat, the birth place of the warrior in Adilabad district, will be transformed into a tourist circuit like that of Jib Corbett National Park in Utharakhand. He also said Adilabad will soon get Airport, better transport facilities and a Komaram Bheem memorial in 200 acres will be constructed and a tribal university will be named after him.

The Chief Minister felt that Adilabad district as the head of Telangana State with lush greenery of forest will look like Kashmir of India. It needs more development and due recognition, he said. “The Government will celebrate World Tribals Festival and conduct a Telangana Tribals workshop soon besides introducing Komram Bheem’s life history and sacrifices to Telangana society”. Samaikya rulers suppressed this fact, he charged.
Stating that he would lay a foundation stone for the memorial on October 8, KCR asked the officials to prepare a documentary on Komaram Bheem’s life. The CM directed the officials to make all arrangements for the event and develop Jode Ghat to become a tourist spot. He recalled that Komaram Bheem fought for water, forest and land and feudal policies. (NSS)
