Dubai Immigration offers more jobs to nationals

Dubai, March 23: Dubai Immigration, far exceeding many departments, has speeded up the process of emiratisation and now hits 97 per cent, a top official said. The department is currently offering more vacancies exclusively for UAE 
nationals.

“The move is aimed to meet the pressing demand of Emirati job seekers,” said Major General Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department.

The department’s pavilion is at the Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Hall, platform 20 and s2f. Col Awad Al Aweem, Assistant Director General for Human and Financial Resources, said the Dubai Immigration provides a proper work environment for its employees based on transparency and open door policy. “The department has provided its employees with all the facilities available.”

These include the adoption of the latest electronic devices to boost communication among the employees via the HR gate, known as ‘Tawasul’.

Added to this is the ‘Afkary’ or ‘My Ideas’ electronic system which encourages human resources develop their skills.

“The department has further adopted the flexible working hours system to meet the social status of its staff,” Col Aweem added.
