Dubai: Dubai forensics report say that Bollywood actress Sridevi died of accidental drowning.
According to the news agency ANI, an autopsy was conducted earlier on Monday and the police have handed the report over to the family and the Indian consulate representative.
Sridevi, 54, died on Saturday night. It was earlier reported that she died due to cardiac arrest.
The Padma Shri recipient was in Dubai to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor’s cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi.
According to the reporting of the Gulf news, the Dubai police had released the forensic report and handed it to the family of Sridevi and the Indian consulate.
Following the completion of post-mortem analysis, #DubaiPolice today stated that the death of Indian actress #Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness.
