Dubai based Lulu Company came forward to work with Telangana Government to set up a meat export center in about 100 acres in the state. This was informed by Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav to media persons after attending a Gulf-2018 Food Trade in Dubai along with officials.
He held discussions with Lulu CEO Saleem and Co Director Vijay Kumar on the same. The Lulu Company agreed to set up the exporting company and the government will provide all facilities. On operational the company will provide jobs to 800 people directly and 5000 people indirectly, the minister said. Telangana government promised to provide all permissions, land, power, water and other facilities for the purpose, he said. Sheep development corporation MD Lakshma Reddy and others were present. Telangana exported 420 metric tons of sheep meat, 59800 metric tons of buffalo meat, he said adding that the state has abundant human resources to work with.(NSS)
