Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily told that Du-ba-Du program which is organized by Millat Fund of Siasat Urdu Daily has received universal acclamation. He hoped that very soon, it will complete 100th program.
He was addressing a large gathering of 95th Du-ba-Du program in which people from Hyderabad and other adjoining areas participated.
Program was held at S.A. Imperial Garden, Tolichowki.
In his presidential address, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that these days, Muslim community is getting engulfed into the unlawful demands of dowries.
He further said that through Du-ba-Du program the mindsets of many parents and guardians were changed and they were persuaded to celebrate marriage functions with greater simplicity.
During his speech, he mentioned that the wedding function of an employee of Salarjung Museum, Mr. Ahmed Ali’s daughter was a simple one.
He advised the parents and relatives to refrain from making noise by organizing musical programs.
He cited that the wealth given by Allah (SWT) to the people is a trust for which, people will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
He lamented that highly qualified Muslim girls are not getting equally qualified grooms.
Qari Ilyas Basha told that Du-ba-Du program is helping a lot of Muslims.
Seated on the dais were Mr. Anwaruddin, Dr. Shaikh Siyadat Ali, Dr. Nazim Ali and others.
Dr. Ayub Haideri rendered Nath-e-Shareef. Qari Ilyas Basha recited Quranic verses. Mr. Shahid Husain conducted the program.
In all, 150 boys and 200 girls were registered.
