Hyderabad: Social activist, Ms. Shaista Ali (NRI-USA) categorically told the parents to take into consideration good character of the boys and girls while finalizing the matrimonial alliances of their children. If a girl of Islamic character is selected, the household can become an example of heaven.
She was addressing 91st Du-ba-Du Program organized by Siasat and Millat Fund at S.A. Imperial Garden, Tolichowki, Hyderabad.
A large number of parents and guardians attended the program. They opined that many girls are waiting for their weddings since their parents are not able to fulfill the dowry demands. She further told that due to the efforts of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily an attempt is being made to finalize marriages in a simple manner setting aside all the unnecessary rituals.
Ms. Shaista Ali was very much impressed with the program and applauded the efforts of Siasat and Millat Fund. She told that if tea, biscuit and palm dates are served, such marriage will be a simple one. This is the only way to avoid unnecessary expenses. If we get a girl of good character into our house and if she is treated affectionately, certainly there will be a pleasant atmosphere in the house.
Mr. Mohammed Moinuddin, President, Federation of Tolichowki Colonies told that it is very difficult to get matrimonial alliances of the choices of the parents and guardians. The success of matrimonial life is that both the parties should understand each other. He cited the precedent of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) who gave us the best example of character. Mr. Moinuddin lamented on the increasing cases of divorce and said that these should be avoided.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Shaik Siyadat Ali, Dr. Nazim Ali, Dr. Ayub Haideri, Mr. Meer Anwaruddin and others.
Former Congress MP, Mr. Madhu Yaski Goud observed the services offered at various counters and applauded the efforts of Siasat. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan gave the details of aspects of the program to Mr. Goud.
In all, 100 boys and 150 girls registered their names. The program was viewed on YouTube, Facebook and Siasat TV.
Mr. Syed Khalid Mohiuddin Asad, Coordinator of the program thanked the audience at the end of the program.
