Hyderabad: Du-ba-Du (Face-to-Face) Matrimonial Alliances Program is providing a common platform for Muslim families of boys and girls to be married. The main purpose of this program is to persuade people to perform simple marriages without taking dowry.
Minorities Development Forum of Siasat Urdu Daily regularly organizes this program in Hyderabad and other districts of the State.
In this program, families of both the sides get an opportunity to meet each other, exchange bio-data and start consultations.
It may be mentioned that Siasat Urdu Daily has been organizing this program for the past many years.
Giving the details of the program, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily said that 79 programs have been conducted so far throughout the State. The main goal of this program is to encourage dowry-free marriages and simple marriages among the Muslim community.
In the program, families of doctors, engineers, advocates, government servants and others attend.
This service is offered free of cost. In the program, profiles of boys and girls are categorized as per their qualifications.
Inspired by this program, many social organizations have also started such functions. One such program is being organized every Sunday at Azam Function Hall, Moghalpura by Ghouse Khamooshi Trust.
According to the news published in DC, talking about the program, Founder Secretary of the trust, Mohammed Farooq said that this program was started after realizing the difficulties parents face in getting suitable alliances for their children.
He further stated that dowry is an evil which creating a financial problem for parents of the girls. They do not get suitable matches for their daughters without the dowry.
Girls face late marriage problems
City girls are facing problems due to their higher qualification and late marriages.
According to Mr. Faheem of Naaz Matrimonial, more than 70% girls of 25 years old and above are highly qualified which is creating hurdles in their marriages as the families of the grooms prefer girls who are just graduates.
