DSC soon, coordination with AP on Eamcet: Kadiam

Newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said his priority was to push ahead with government schemes like KG to PG free intensive education and addressing Eamcet and other examinations focusing on curbing corruption and leaving no room for irregularities.

Srihari said efforts will be made to address the challenges and overcome the problems in the Education department besides taking a key decision soon to offer employment opportunities to the eligible trained teachers through DSCs. Amidst disturbances by the MRPS, and Baindla community people and TRS party men at the D Block in the Secretariat, Srihari assumed charge of his office as Education Minister.

He told media persons that Education department was facing many challenges and the TRS government will address them in a planned manner. Profusely thanking Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for generously making him as Deputy Chief Minister and offering Education portfolio, Srihari said he will live up to the former’s expectations and will carefully steer Education department comprising higher education, technical education, primary and school education wings. He also hinted that the entire Education will go in for a through overhaul to prioritize the schemes based on promises given by the Chief Minister.

Major schemes such as KG to PG free education will be given impetus to offer the best services sans corruption and irregularities. “I will strive to bring name to TRS party and the government by actively involving the officials and people to offer quality education on international standards”. He also emphasized the need for coordination with the neighboring Andhra Pradesh State on controversy turned Eamcet, other common tests and Intermediate examination.
A perfect plan will be in place followed by a meeting with officials, educationists and intellectuals on offering transparent and accountable services in the Education sector, he said. Srihari exhorted the Telangana students to prepare thoroughly for competitive examinations as usual as the government was keen on protecting their interests.
Ministers Etela Rajender, T Harish Rao, Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Mahender Reddy, Jagadish Reddy and P Srinivas Reddy have greeted the new Deputy Chief Minister. (NSS)
