DSC-2012 Results Released; Another DSC Soon: Minister

Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathi here on Sunday released the results of District Selection Committee (DSC) written test in the Secretariat on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Parthasarathi said that only the marks scored in DSC written test were released today, but the merit list would be released soon by calculating marks scored in the DSC and TET. An opportunity would be given to the candidates to correct their mistakes in the online application forms from October 8 to 18. He said that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the Education department to complete the process of filling of teacher posts within a month. Merit list would be sent to the Collectors of the districts concerned.

The Minister said that another DSC written test would be conducted in February or March next year. In the next DSC, 25,000 teacher posts would be filled. Some 4,000 posts of Physical Education Teachers (PET) would also be filled, he added.

Along with the DSC, results of TGT and PGT, which were conducted to fill teacher posts in model schools, were also released. DSC-2012 was notified for filling of 21,343 teacher posts and 3.5 lakh candidates had appeared for the test. There were 6,007 posts of School Assistants, 12,772 posts of Secondary Grade Teachers, 409 PETs and 2,144 language Pundits posts in DSC-2012.

Regarding model schools, a recruitment notification was released to fill 7,100 posts, including 355 posts of Principal, 4,615 PG teachers and 2,130 trainee graduate teachers. Over 95,000 candidates have appeared for the written test conducted for model schools. (NSS)
