DSC – 2012, Model Schools results announced

Secondary Education Minister K Parathasarathi on Sunday announced the results of District Selection Committee (Teachers Recruitment Test) – 2012 and Model Schools Recruitment – 2012.

Addressing the media after releasing the results at the State Secretariat, Parathasarathi informed that the candidates could download the results from http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in by giving their Hall Ticket number. The marks released are the marks secured in the test only exclusive of TET weightage. The nominal roll date of the candidate is also displayed along with the marks secured.

The minister said that for any correction in the nominal roll date, candidates may logon to http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in and register their correction between October 8 and 18th. Corrections will be attended to, subject to the eligibility criteria notified and are further subject to producing of relevant documents at the time of verification of certificates if selected. If the candidates fail to produce any of the documents, criminal proceedings would be initiated as per rule against the candidates. No corrections in the nominal roll date will be entertained after October 18, he added.

Disclosing the details of DSC – 2012, Parathasarathi said that for 6007 School Assistant posts as many as 3,35,004 candidates applied and of them 3,04,159 appeared for the exam. Similarly, for 2144 Language Pandit posts, 33188 candidates appeared, for 12,772 SGT posts 33,214 candidates, for 409 Physical Education Teacher posts, 9002 candidates appeared. Likewise, for 11 Special Schools, as many as 23 applications were received and 12 of them appeared for the test.

The minister informed that the results of 12 candidates have been withheld. Further, as many as 486 candidates have been disqualified for No Booklet Code, 18 for Multiple Booklet Code, two for tampering of OMR Answer Sheet, seven for ineligibility as per qualification, 10 for Malpractice and one candidate has been disqualified for impersonation.

Parthasarathi said that the examination and selection process would be subject to the result of Writ Petition No 26444 of 2012 pending before the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Regarding the results of Model School Recruitment – 2012, the minister informed that a total of 82,796 candidates appeared for the test for 7100 posts that include 355 posts of Principals, 4615 posts of PGTs and 2310 posts of TGTs. It may be mentioned that two-third of these posts are being filled through direct recruitment and the remaining posts through deputation.

Parthasarathi said the results of 2,565 candidates have been withheld due to court cases; two results have been held due to delayed submission; 236 candidates have been disqualified for No Booklet Code, six for multiple booklet code, 49 for ineligibility as per medium of study and 62 have been disqualified as per qualification.

The minister said that the selection process would be subject to the results of Writ Appeal Nos 610, 611 and 612 of 2012 pending before the AP High Court. Candidates could attend the nominal roll data correction through online from October 8 to November 7 through the website http://apms.cgg.gov.in.
