DS, Captain thank KCR, vow for TS growth

TRS Rajya Sabha nominated candidates D Srinivas and Captain Lakshmikatha Rao today extended thanks to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for giving them an opportunity to represent the State in Parliament and vowed to raise Telangana voice at the Centre for rapid growth of the State.

Talking to mediapersons after filing nominations on the Assembly premises here, D Srinivas said he will try his best to see that the Centre clear the issues related to Telangana. The statehood has been achieved for jobs, resources and waters, he said, adding that they will vie for getting adequate funds for the State of Telangana. “KCR has great vision to transform the State into a golden Telangana and we will take his idea forward in that direction”, he said. “The TRS Government was implementing many welfare schemes and getting support of the people”. He exuded confidence that the flagship projects like Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha will be completed on time.

“We are expecting that some 75 per cent of the works of these two prestigious projects will be completed enabling the government keep its promises of supplying safe drinking waters and distributing irrigation waters to crops in rural areas. Lakshmikanta Rao said KCR government is noted for keeping promises. Telangana has been achieved for jobs, waters and resources and we will follow the direction of the Chief Minister”, Rao said.

Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, who was present, said DS has long political tenure and whose experience will help the TRS Government get benefits from the Centre. Similarly Captain, who played a key role in Statehood movement will serve the party at Central level for the State development, he added. (NSS)
