Hyderabad, March 09: A 35-year woman died after she was pushed to the ground by her paramour during a drunken brawl under the Madhapur police limits on Monday. The victim’s head hit a stone leading to her instant death.
The woman, E Anasuya, was residing in the Ravindra Society huts in Madhapur. She got separated from her husband over 10 years ago and since then had been staying with a tipper driver from Vizianagaram, Nagesh.
Police said the duo used to quarrel frequently in an inebriated condition. During one such tussle a year ago, Nagesh had hit Anasuya on her head with a pestle. She, however, survived the attack.
Late yesterday night, the duo had a quarrel following which Nagesh pushed Anasuya. The woman fell on a stone resulting in a head injury. She died on the spot.
Police took Nagesh into custody and are investigating.
