Drunk drivers would be prosecuted: A.K. Khan

Hyderabad, November 15: City Police Commissioner, Mr. A. K. Khan told that the motor drivers who drive vehicles in drunken conditions will be booked. It will facilitate in minimizing road traffic accidents.

He further told that it has yielded better results. In two weeks as many as 350 cases have been booked. He addressed the media persons at Police Traffic Control Room. He also showed the vehicles of the drunken drivers which were seized by the police. The purpose of this drive is to control traffic accidents. He informed that 12-15 sensitive areas have been earmarked for catching such drunken drivers. He said that driving a vehicle in drunken condition is a crime.

He intends to create an awareness through this campaign the sense of responsibility among the citizens to lead a peaceful and carefree life.
