Hyderabad: As part of the efforts to support Kerala flood victims, Telangana State Drug Control Administration (TSDCA) has decided to send a special consignment of essential drugs worth Rs 20 lakh to Managing Director of Kerala State Medical Corporation, Thiruvananthapuram.
As part of this effort, the TSDCA officials on Wednesday sent a consignment of 100 cartons worth Rs 15 lakh of essential medicines to Kerala. Due to challenges in logistics, the TSDCA will be transporting another batch of drugs worth Rs 5 lakh in a day or two, officials said.
The TSDCA raised Rs 8 lakh by contributing in-house while the rest of the Rs 12 lakh worth of essential drugs was raised through donations contributed by various pharmaceutical companies that fall under the jurisdiction of TSDCA in Hyderabad and elsewhere.
