Naxal activities in Eluru range in Andhra Pradesh have come down significantly, a top police officer has said. “The Maoist activities have come down in comparison to the past trend with recruitment of new cadres being almost stopped,” said Eluru Range DIG G Suryaprakash Rao. He was speaking to reporters after inspecting a police station at Yeleswaram near here. The IPS officer also claimed that crime rate has also reduced in the range. PTI
